The Index

Which works exist, how long they last, and in what ensemble

The Index is the working list: every entry carries the work, the composer, the pianistic school, the real performing duration and the smallest ensemble that makes it possible. It is the same document that serves a wedding planner, the technical director of a concert hall and a municipal programmer — each enters through a different field.

Duration is the decisive field and the one almost never published: a communion needs three minutes, not nine. The Index answers that before the first meeting.

Career

Forty years, seventeen countries, three schools

The Iberian keyboard is not exotic repertoire. It is the centre of a tradition Portugal and Spain wrote, and that almost nobody plays.Amadeu de Oliveira

His training crossed three pianistic schools — Russian, Spanish and Franco-Polish — and ended in a degree from the Badajoz conservatory. That triple origin explains the programme: a performer who reads Iberian repertoire with Russian rigour and French gesture.

The career has passed through halls in 17 countries across three continents, as soloist, in chamber music and with orchestra. PianoCenter, in Leiria, is the teaching base where that path is passed on.
